Bayer to launch dialogue with gardeners

Provado-Ult-Bug-Killer-SprayGarden care company Bayer Garden is investing this season to foster a two way dialogue with gardeners.  Using the platforms of its new blog (www.bayergardenblog.co.uk) and Facebook page, Bayer Garden experts will answer consumers' questions, give visitors to the sites the inside track on promotions and competitions and seek feedback on a range of other topics, including the performance of its products and their packaging.

"We have just gone live and are really pleased with the feedback we generated so far," explained Bayer Garden product manager, Laura Varey.  "We're taking the opportunity to update gardeners on everything we are up to, for example the £20,000 donation we are making to Anthony Nolan as part of Baby Bio's Diamond Jubilee Celebration." The blog addresses the problems consumers are facing right now, for example, information about Fruit & Vegetable Disease Control.

Bayer Garden's two major promotions - win a VW Beetle and win a shed load - are being promoted on the blog.  Visitors to the sites will find out that the bottle of Provado Ultimate Bug Killer with the winning code on the collar is still on the shelves, which means someone can still win a brand new Volkswagen New Beetle.  The draw to win a shed load of gardening goodies is not taking place until 31 May, 2011 and anyone who enters a unique reference number from a pack of Bio Slug & Snail Killer or Slug Bait could find themselves the winner.

The Bayer portfolio includes Baby Bio, Rose Care and Fungicides. Log onto: www.bayergarden.co.uk for full details of Bayer products. The garden blog can be found on: www.bayergardenblog.co.uk
