Today, the Shrewsbury Flower Show, which relocated to the present Quarry Park site more than a century ago, is one of the biggest landmark events in the British horticultural calendar attracting more than 50,000 people every year.
The 2012 show will run on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th August and will showcase the best in garden design, trends and stunning floral displays. There will be guest appearances by TV gardener, Chris Beardshaw and TV chef James Martin, more than 50 national and international exhibitors showcasing their blooms and plant displays, cookery demonstrations, live folk by Oysterband and Grade A show jumping with national and international riders.
More than 90 specialist retailers will welcome visitors in the Home and Craft Marquee and there will be plenty of entertainment for children in the children’s area with magicians, clowns, rides and competitions.
