BBC Gardeners’ World Live 2012

AlanOne of the most popular garden events of the year will once again be staged at Birmingham’s NEC when Gardeners' World Live 2012 opens from 13th to 17th June.

Show organisers announce that they are expecting over 350 exhibitors, specialising in flowers, plants and garden wear, plus over 45 RHS features and gardens, five theatres and a host of gardening experts.

Lined up to give live demonstrations and master classes are gardening experts including Monty Don; Alan Titchmarsh; Carol Klein, Joe Swift, Adam Pasco, David Domoney and James Alexander Sinclair. “I am really looking forward to BBC Gardeners’ World Live 2012,” says Monty Don. "The line up this year is one of the best ever and as always there is an abundance of shopping, experts and superb RHS Show Gardens. On top of so much to see and do it is a great opportunity for all us gardeners to meet up and share our plans for our gardens this summer."

Gardeners will find a fantastic range of great nurseries and top experts as well as the Show’s most popular features including live demonstrations in the BBC Gardeners' World Theatre, the Grow Your Own Garden, the Show Gardens and the RHS Floral Marquee.

In the Grow your Own Garden, hosted by Gardeners' Question Time’s Matthew Biggs, visitors will find a smaller, more intimate and interactive garden located outside, so that everybody can get tips and advice from the gardening professions on how they can grow their own this summer.

The RHS Show gardens will give plenty of inspiration and ideas for transforming any outdoor space – each garden has its own unique theme and design and in bringing them all together they make an impressive, exciting and remarkable array of inspiring talent that visitors look forward to year by year.

Experience the design, plan and build of a horticultural exhibit on a smaller scale with the unique Edible Patches, which this year, following the success of 2011, is bigger and better. The RHS Floral Marquee is a great place for gardeners’ to meet growers and discover their top tips to growing plants successfully. The Experts Stage, where specialist gardeners and designers including Joe Swift and Pippa Greenwood will be answering visitors’ questions, will once again be situated in the Floral Marquee.
